Together with the newly completed Columbarium and Garden of Remembrance, the premises cover an area of 46,570 sq m designed with the theme of consolation. The columbarium is a 5-storey building with wooden cladding, housing over 43,000 niches. The spaces between the wood panels allow natural light to come in and enhance ventilation. The garden in the West Wing is of western design concept and decorated with stone animal sculptures and thematic plaque walls creating an artistic atmosphere. The garden in the East Wing is of Chinese architectural style, comprising three tiers of individual theme with different Chinese plantings: bamboo, plum and willow.
