Characteristics:
The University Hall of the University of Hong Kong, situated on a hilltop at Pokfulam, is a charming edifice in a blend of Tudor and Gothic architectural styles. It was built in about 1861 by a Scottish businessman as a company's headquarters and his residence. Therefore, it was named after him as Douglas Castle. A French mission later bought the castle in 1894. Considerable alterations and extensions to the building were carried out. In 1953, the French mission gave up the building, which was then acquired by the University of Hong Kong in 1954. Since 1956, the building has been used as a hall of residence for male students and renamed as the University Hall.

It became a mock-up of a beautiful medical school in "Doctor Mack" (1995) starring Tony Leung Chiu-wai and Lau Ching-wan. The elegant outdoor staircases, the library and the charming spiral staircase leading to the library were chosen for a number of scenes.

Facilities:
Hall, function rooms, small library, spiral staircase, outdoor staircases, double rooms, etc
