Characteristics:
The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department operates 6 crematoriums, one each at Cape Collinson on Hong Kong Island, Diamond Hill in Kowloon, Fu Shan, Kwai Chung and Wo Hop Shek in the New Territories, and one at Cheung Chau.

Renovated in 2007, Diamond Hill Crematorium occupies an area of 19,500 sq m and houses 4 100-seater service halls. The Sze Chen Hall, which is a 9-storey columbarium block, and the roadside open-air hallways are constructed for the storage of cremated ashes. Niches for the storage of cremated ashes pile up to form walls. Each of the niches is sealed with a tile that looks like an epitaph. The walls of niches divide the spaces of the columbariums in parallel to one another. The morning sun can slant between the walls of niches and form a tranquil picture. The Yeung Nim Hall, a new columbarium block built in late 2008, is a 8-storey V-shaped building decorated with greenery in its outlook on every level. Each level is connected by flights of wide landscape staircases, which brings simulating experiences of traditional grave sweepers heading to the hills ('Bai San').

Facilities:
Chinese service hall, western service hall, columbarium blocks, columbarium hallways, etc
