Characteristics:
The cool ride by Star Ferry across Victoria Harbour from Tsim Sha Tsui to Central at Star Ferry Pier (Tsim Sha Tsui) is well-acclaimed as the cheapest and the greatest ferry ride in the world. The 8-minute ride enables passengers to admire the harbour view and the city looks, like the Central's skyscrapers framed by the hills and the architectural beauty of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and Hong Kong Cultural Centre.

The ferries themselves have been running since 1898. Each of them is named after a star, for example, "Morning Star", "Evening Star", etc. The diesel operated double-decker boats with sailors in neat and tidy uniforms become an indispensable part of the exhilarating Hong Kong image.
